Making a Difference 2016-2017 – The Possibility of a Trip to Nicaragua July 2017

This 2016-2017 school year Pathways is looking at collaborating with “The Giving Lens.” This organization is made up of traveling photographers that help nonprofits whose goal is to battle poverty in other countries. We are investigating the possibility of taking a trip to Nicaragua to photograph and tell the story about the people and town of Granada. If you are interested in this trip and finding out how you can help children living in poverty in Nicaragua fill out the contact information at the bottom of this page.

Making a Difference 2015-2016 – About Our Trip to Haiti

This last school year, the students in the Leadership L.I.V.E program chose to collaborate with buildOn.org to build a school in an impoverished village in Haiti. Not only did Pathways raise $30,000 in seven months to build the school but the students lived with host families in the Haitian village to help them build the foundation of the school. The group of 12 students and 3 adults lived in the village from June 26 – July 4, 2016 and became immersed in the culture and daily lives of the people. The group lived without running water or electricity and grew in their understanding of what poverty really meant.

There are many things you can do to get involved as a lead mentor in Pathways. You can start a new program, design a special event, or take on a cause you believe in. You can lead whatever you are passionate about!
