The Pathways drama program is simply amazing! Anyone that went to the Pathways concert in May 2017 saw the Westside Story performance that brought the crowd to it’s feet with a standing ovation would agree! This year we are pushing the envelop further by taking on the classic play Wizard of Oz. Students joining the Pathways’ drama program can register, be selected for a role, and train to be part of the cast for this production. The Wizard of Oz play is scheduled to be performed in November 2017 in front of an audience on stage! If you love acting or even want to try it for the first time, this is the class for you!
Morgan Carlson is our lead instructor and has been a member of multiple dance companies in NY and NJ. He participated in NJ Tap Dance Ensemble’s student education program, and his training includes NJBallet and Gateway to the Arts. Morgan performs with the likes of Les Paul’s Trio and Uncle Floyd, and he is currently a student at Essex County College. Click here to see Morgan performing along side his brother McCall.
Brianna Morris will be a consultant to the program. She has been training in acting, singing, and dance for most, if not all of her life. She is currently acquiring her B.A. in Theater Studies with a concentration in Musical Theater from Centenary University. Some of Brianna’s past leading performances include Dorothy ( Wizard of Oz), Elizabeth Benning (Young Frankenstein), Carrie (Carrie: The Musical), and Linda (The Wedding Singer). She is beyond excited to recreate the magic of the timeless, Wizard of Oz for Pathways’ drama program. Brianna is pictured to the above-right as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.
