The Pathways drama program is simply amazing! Anyone that went to the Pathways concert in May 2017 saw the Westside Story performance that brought the crowd to it’s feet with a standing ovation would agree! This year we are pushing the envelop further by taking on the classic play Wizard of Oz. Students joining the Pathways’ drama program can register, be selected for a role, and train to be part of the cast for this production. The Wizard of Oz play is scheduled to be performed in November 2017 in front of an audience on stage! If you love acting or even want to try it for the first time, this is the class for you!
Brianna Morris has been training in acting, singing, and dance for most, if not all of her life. She is currently acquiring her B.A. in Theater Studies with a concentration in Musical Theater from Centenary University. Brianna is not new to the Pathways family! She has worked with the Pathways Rock Band as a lead singer and assisted with photography/graphic arts programs. Some of Brianna’s past leading performances include Dorothy ( Wizard of Oz), Elizabeth Benning (Young Frankenstein), Carrie (Carrie: The Musical), and Linda (The Wedding Singer). She is beyond excited to recreate the magic of the timeless, Wizard of Oz for Pathways’ drama program. Brianna is pictured to the right as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. In addition to Brianna, we will have Mrs. Anna Chianese, M.A. and certified teacher assisting with the class.
